Hüseyin Tabak: Biography Babylon 2008
Writer/Director
Project Title: PARADISE ROAD
I was born 1981 in Lemgo, Germany, of Kurdish origin (from Turkey). I grew up in a small town called Bad Salzuflen and left it when I was 22 years old to work in film. I moved to Hamburg and started to work on the set of various film productions, beginning as a trainee and ending up as Director's Assistant. During my time in Hamburg I worked on over 22 different movie productions and shot 7 short films. Since 2006 I have been studying Film Direction and Screenwriting at the Film Academy Vienna under Prof. Michael Haneke and Prof. Peter Patzak. I'm currently writing various feature film projects. I want to tell accessible stories to an audience, which are simple but confusing, as in real life, developing a distinct visual language for the emotions and reactions of each character. Stories drawn from the lives of people who can't tell their own story, but which have to be told.
