Jamie Nuttgens: Biography
Project Title: RAMRAJ, IN THE DICTATOR'S HOUSE
Jamie worked as a Director in UK Theatre and as a Copywriter in Advertising before moving into Film and TV. After Graduating from the National Film & Television School he joined BBC Drama as a Script Editor on shows like Casualty and including Jimmy McGovern's ěThe Lakesî and ěThe Scold's Bridleî.
At ITV he produced the UK's top-rating Police series, ěThe Billî, and a successful spin-off series, ěBurnside. In 2001 he returned to directing and also wrote episodes of popular TV series.
More recently he Co-produced ěRed Ridingî, three features for Film Four with Revolution Films, and produced Smita Bhide's debut feature, ěThe Blue Towerî, winning Best UK Feature 2008 at Raindance Film Festival. He is currently developing a raft of projects at all budget levels and is also a regular tutor in Direction and Screenwriting at the National Film & Television School, at the Met Film School at Ealing Studios, London and at Oxford University.
