Jonathan Granger Miles: Biography
Writer/Director
Project Title: HEAVY DATA
Originally from Brighton, Jonathan studied film at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design. In 2000 he moved to London and began his career in the film and media industries. Since then he has written and directed a number of short films as well as working across a broad range of other moving image projects, from music video and advertising to documentary and drama, in capacities ranging from director to editor to voice-over artist.
His last short "The Queue" which he wrote produced and directed, was a popular festival choice particularly on the North American circuit, winning a best comedy award and picking up a number of others.
Following a period living in Istanbul, another travelling around Asia and two years living and working in Berlin, he is now based back in Brighton, where he is developing two feature projects as well as a number of shorter projects. He continues to work in various capacities in the film and media industries in London.
