Barbara Antičević: Biography
Barbara Antičević grew up in Belgrade and Zagreb, she graduated in International Business in Vienna, and started working for the next ten years in film production. She then studied screenwriting at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, Germany and currently works as a freelance screenwriter.
Her screenwriting credits include 6-part sitcom “Volkseigener Betrieb Bellevue” (RTL Startup Award); feature film “Die Wäscherin/The Laundress” for FFL Film- und Fernsehlabor (developed with Babylon); series format “Sorry” for Dreamtool Entertainment; “Der Kriminalist – episode Der Engel” – H&V Entertainment/ZDF; “SOKO München – episode Happy Slapping” – UFA/ZDF; feature film “Sudwind” (developed with Babylon 2013) produced by Indi-Film Stuttgart/Berlin; sitcom “Alpha-Marille” (developed with Diverse Geschichten, Vienna); short film “Zwischen den Zeilen” (2011) directed by Nora Fingscheidt, arte/SWR & Filmakademie BW, selected at numerous festivals including Filmfestival Max-Ophüls; South East Film Festival Los Angeles; Vukovar Film Festival; Französische Filmtage Tübingen; Stuttgart Highlights Ludwigsburg; CineMalubit International Short Film Festival Romania, (Winner – Jury Special Award); Thessaloniki International Short Film Festival; Balkans Beyond Borders; Dukan Film Fest.
Barbara has written a number of transmedia projects including the award-winning project “Redland” (2014) directed by Christian Werner (with the support of Förderung Innovationsfond Kunst des Ministeriums für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kunst Baden-Württemberg) which won Outstanding Directing, Outstanding Sound, Outstanding VFX at the Los Angeles Web Fest as well as being selected at Korea Web Fest, WebFest Berlin, Miami Web Fest, WebFest Rio de Janeiro, Melbourne WebFestival, Bilbao WebFest, Sicily WebFest.
She has also worked as a copywriter and commercials writer including STIHL 16 x 45“, 1 x 2 Min, Imagefilm, aha! film, Completion: 2015; BASF 4 Min, Imagefilm, The Executive Production, Completion: 2015; Online Football Manager 2 x 60“ TVC, Studio Fizbin, Completion: 2012; Emporium Palas Losberger 2 Min, Imagefilm, Studio Fizbin, Completion: 2012; Dystopia Trailer 60“ TVC, Inspirational Trailer for the User Generated Cinema Project Dystopia, Medienboard Berlin; Brandenburg/MFG/Filmakademie BW, Completion: 2012; Wettermann 4 Min, Stereoscope, Branded Short for Orangina, D: Florian Baeker, Filmakademie BW, Caligari Winner 2011, Completion: 2012.
Barbara is also a published author, with her short story „Auf dem Heimweg“ published in the collection „Schmerzgrenze“, Primero Verlag München, 2013.
